Today, Saturday, 02/25/2023, they were received upon their arrival at the association’s headquarters by the Secretary-General of the Rehabilitation Association, Mr. Fahd Al-Wahaibi, the General Director of the Association’s Branches, Mr. Yousef Al-Rumaih, Dr. Ahmed Ezzedine, General Director of Technical Affairs, and Dr. Hazem Badawi, Director of Health Services. The visit began with an important introductory session inside the hall of the General Secretariat building, which included providing comprehensive and additional information about the association presented by the Secretary-General, Mr. Fahd Al-Wahaibi, in which he explained the association’s aspirations in its present and future to be the best Arab association to serve persons with disabilities in the year 2024 AD and the best among ten. Associations around the world in the year 2028 AD, stressing that the association is looking forward today to obtaining British accreditation, from the most prestigious British Autism Association (NAS), which is visiting us today, which is the association specialized globally in people with autism spectrum disorder for more than 50 years in working with people with the diagnosis. With autism spectrum disorder, Mr. Fahd Al-Wahaibi added, saying, “The Tahheel Society has partnerships, agreements, and memorandums of understanding with the largest and most famous global centers for serving people with disabilities, whether in the United States of America, or in Europe, and similar centers in India in the field of rehabilitation and physical therapy, and has held conferences.” And international forums and forums specialized in disability, rehabilitation, training and education according to the finest international principles and standards.
Documentary presentation about the Tamimi Autism Center Rehabilitation and Services Association:
The visiting team then watched a documentary presentation about the association, its mission and goals to serve people with disabilities, and a similar presentation presented by Dr. Khawla Al-Khashaiban, technical supervisor of the Tamimi Center and member of the Executive Committee for British Accreditation, about the association’s services, the services of the Ali Al-Tamimi Center for Autism, and the center’s indicators of achievements for the year 2022. After the meeting ended, the delegation watched. Part of the celebrations of the association’s internal scholarship students, they shared their joy with the students, their parents, and their families on the founding day. Then the team went to the Ali Al Tamimi Autism Center and took a field tour of all the center’s facilities and looked at the capabilities and equipment. Professor/ Muhammad Al-Omari, director of the association’s special education services, was with them on this tour. Mr. Muhammad Al-Omari stressed that one of the most important goals of Al-Tamimi Autism Center obtaining British accreditation is to ensure the provision of high-quality services to the autism spectrum disorder group and their families, as well as the ability to identify all the challenges facing autistic children and how to find appropriate solutions to them, and the importance of developing the functional competencies and qualitative expertise of the cadres.
